The Sidebar Cellars Sauvignon Blanc is produced from fruit grown in the Russian River Valley appellation of Sonoma Valley. The vines are grown on a mix of sandy loam and clay loam soils. Ramey uses natural yeast fermentations and ages the wine in a mix of stainless steel and neutral oak barrels. The Sidebar displays a platinum white to white gold color with a definite viscous touch in the glass. Aromatic, fresh aromas of white peach, yellow pear, tropical citrus and green floral notes are a treat for your sniffer. The wine is beautifully textured on the palate, loads of fruit flavors, nicely framed out with refreshing acidity. A Sauvignon Blanc with plenty of show just for sipping, yet would be great with a spring pea risotto, fresh asparagus al limone pasta dish or shrimp scampi salad.
