Chateau Montfaucon Cotes du Rhone

2017 - The Chateau Montfaucon Cotes du Rhone is the archetypal fall red. In the glass, the wine displays that dusty garnet color with a dark rim.  Aromas of dried cherry, fall raspberries, red currants, earthy spice, violets and forest scream for cooler nights and falling leaves.  It is medium weight on the palate with delicious red berry fruits, white pepper and dry tannins.  Superb by itself in the glass and always great to enjoy with pheasant, wild mushroom stuffing, turkey, venison, roasted squash and a roaring fire.
