Les Marmandais Our Five Senses

2020 - When poured into the glass the wine has that classic garnet color rimmed in dark purple. It features a bordelais nose of blackberries, black cherry, currants, plum fruits wrapped in dark cocoa, spice, nicely framed in purple flowers.  The hefty weight of the bottle might give you a hint that you are in for a wine with a rich, medium bodied palate that is front to back and side to side laden in lush berry flavors, suede like tannins and a long finish.  This holiday party wine swings way above its pay grade and delivers all aces in the glass.  The complexity of this wine makes it just enjoyable by itself, or serve it with chilled tenderloin sammies, roasted stuffed mushrooms, or lamb meatball appetizers.
