2021 - Hailing from the eastern coastline of Italy, along the Adriatic sea, in the Marche region, this is a blend of 70% Montepulciano and 30% Sangiovese. Gianfranco Garofoli named this Rosso Piceno after the Farnio mountain pass in the Monti Sillibini National Park. The wine shows a good garnet color with a plum red core. Very fresh aromas of black cherries, black berries, mulberry, violets, plum and deep forest notes. Structurally beautiful with balance, intense red berry/plum fruit flavors, elegant and velvety. An Italian beauty that is delicious with spaghetti pomodoro, braised pork shoulder, pizza or burgers.--Finn
