Maison Roche de Bellene 'Bellenos' Cuvee Blanc

2017 - Maison Roche de Bellene 'Bellenos' Cuvee Blanc is a blend of Chardonnay and Aligote, sourced from southern Beaujolais.  All the vineyards are what the French call Lutte Raisonee (sustainable).  The wine is fermented, then aged in barrel for 8 months on fine lees.  Out of the bottle, the wine has a bright golden color with a visual viscosity in the tears.  Bright aromas of fall apple, pear, lemon meringue, tropical citrus and mineraly notes come screaming out of the glass.  It has a medium weight to the palate and features nicely focused crisp fruit flavors, laced with a touch of minerals and a pleasant dry finish.  Chill it down by the glass and you won’t be sorry.  It also makes a great pairing w/ grilled Mahi Mahi burgers, sushi, baked chicken or salmon.
