2018 - Bucking the DOCG of Mt. Etna, Sicily, Massimiliano Calabretta believes he can produce a better Nero Mascalese than is required by Italian law, and we concur. Gorgeous aromas of red currants, pomegranate, blueberry, wild spices and herbs, purple flower and blood orange. The palate is elevated, complex and beautiful with mouth watering acidity, bright red berry fruits, dry spices and incredibly long.
