The Marques de Caceres Red is a blend of Tempranillo, Grenache and Syrah. To help retain the intense fruit characteristics, only 30% of their red blend is aged in American oak barrels, the rest in stainless steel. The result is a wine with a dark red robe color in the glass and upfront fresh aromas of black cherry, blackberry, blueberry fruits with a light dusty vanilla spice and damp earthy note on the nose. It is medium weight and nicely balanced with savory red berry fruits and a lingering dry finish. This is a wine that was made to be enjoyed today with smoked pork tacos, sausages off the grill, blackened salmon or roasted turkey leg.
