The 2017 Perrin Vinsobres “Les Cornuds” has a dark garnet color with a rich red rim in the glass. The Grenache and Syrah grapes contribute to the well structured nose with layers of blackberry fruits, blueberry, bramble berry, white pepper, violets and notes of garrigue throughout. The young, dry tannins meet the palate with waves of black fruits, black raspberry, licorice root, spices and a pleasantly textured finish. You won’t be disappointed with this wine in your glass while you sit by the fire and it also makes for a delicious accompaniment with cassoulet, dusted peppered pork loin, sautéed flank or seared duck.
